Valentine's Day

On Valentine's day we went to a play group at my friend Rachel's house. She has twin 3 year old boys and a little girl 5 months younger than Georgia. The kids had fun playing and having cute snacks that Rachel cut out with a heart.

This was minus 3 kids another set of twins and another baby.

A few days before Valentine's Day we went to another play group to make valentines for the daddies with finger paint. My friend Kristi made paint out of pudding so it would be edible if the kids tried to eat it. Good thing she did because Georgia sat down and ate the whole bowl of blue paint. I didn't know that she could use a spoon and feed herself, but she sure showed me that she knew how. She would not leave and devoured the whole bowl. None of the other kids wanted anything to do with the paint.

Look mom, I did it!!!

As you might guess I will not be letting her feed herself any time soon. I had to take her straight up stairs and give her a bath at Kristi's house.

Don't forget to scroll down and see the other new posts, I just added a few.

Update

Sorry it has taken so long for an update but we have been really busy. Georgia weighed 16 lbs at he 1 year checkup. She is doing better weight wise but the doctor is still concerned. We haven't heard from the nutritionist yet, and my doctor is pretty mad. We now have the number to try to call them. Georgia's height and head circumference are doing just fine. She is eating lots of new foods: hot dogs, lunch meat, spaghetti, and will try almost anything we are eating. So basically she eats more types of food than I do. She still does not like most fruits or any veggies. We are still trying.

Here is a video of her playing with her riding toy. She loves to walk behind it, but loves to be pushed more.

Georgia's 1st birthday Party

We celebrated Georgia's birthday the weekend before her birthday. Robert's mom, my parent's and my Grandma came in town to help celebrate. We had a few close friends come over to help celebrate too. We did a rainbow theme. I debated for a long time trying to figure out what theme I wanted to do. I originally wanted to do a Care Bear theme because I thought it was my first birthday theme. I then switched to just pink, and then to cheerios. I finally settled on rainbow. When my mom came down the day before the party, she told me she came across a picture from my first birthday and it was a rainbow party too.  How funny. Everything turned out just perfect and Georgia had so much fun with her family and friends. She got lots of great toys and has enjoyed playing with them over and over again. Finally, what you really want to see... PICTURES!!

Georgia's special highchair. She loved the balloons.
The food table. I tried to make everything that I could be rainbow.
Rainbow candy, rainbow cake, cupcakes with rainbows on top, rainbow fruit kabobs, all different colored chips, rainbow goldfish, and rainbow shaped PB&J sandwiched for the kids.

 Georgia's outfit
 We match!!!
I would say Georgia was playing with her friends, but at this point the kids were hungry and really wanted to eat so they are all sharing a snack.
Birthday girl in her special chair
 Playing with mimi
The kids were having fun playing in the wrapping paper. Note to self, don't buy gifts, just wrap boxes and they will play with the boxes and paper.
 Family picture with the cake.

Georgia waiting for her cake.
She did not smash the cake. She daintily touched the icing and licked it off
This is the messiest she got
This is a picture from my first birthday. Can you believe my mom let me stand in my high chair. Its so funny that our cakes look so similar and I didn't even know

1 year

Wow, My baby is a year old today. At exactly 1:25pm a year ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I have spent a lot of time around babies and kids, but it has been so cool spending every day with a baby and watching them grow for a year. Watching her grow and develop is so much fun. Everyday is new as she either does something for the first time or gets better with what she can do. Georgia is a very happy baby who loves to talk (wonder where she gets that from), and loves to be around other people. She has fun playing with her friends and being held by mommy and daddy.
Georgia's favorite foods are mac and cheese, yogurt, cheerios, and bananas. She has gotten so much better at eating and usually eats 3 to 4 meals a day, with multiple snacks.  We do not know her weight now, her doctor appointment is in another 2 weeks. I will post her weight then.
She is crawling faster now and is walking behind her walker. It is really cute to see her walk up to the walker, pull up, and start walking. She loves music and will dance for us when the music starts.
She can say: momma, Dada, hi, and doggy. She signs more and all done(at times she repeats my phrases and says them too). She blows kisses and understands a lot of phrases, mainly dealing with food.
She loves her laugh and learn dog toy and look at books. She doesn't want me to read them to her, but to hold them so she can turn the pages. She still loves to pull things out of boxes.
When people talk about little girls being sweet, you fit that perfectly. You have the sweetest little voice and laugh. You love to sleep, but wake up a lot right now because of your teeth. You have 2 teeth that are fully in and 3 that are just cutting through.

Here is the picture we took right before we went left for the hospital.

Here are 2 newborn pictures to see how much she has grown

My sweet little bitty baby
It is so hard to get Georgia to sit still to take a picture now

Georgia Grace We love you so much and couldn't be prouder parents. You are the sweetest little girl and have made our lives so happy. Happy Birthday!!! Party Pictures to follow later.

True Love

If you have known me for a while, you know I am a picky eater. Something I really hate are bananas. I can't stand the taste, texture, or smell. I get mad when people eat them around me. I refuse to eat fruit salad if bananas are in them because they left banana juice on the other fruit. With all that said, I just spent the past 15 minutes cutting up and feeding Georgia a banana. It was so gross, but she was loving it. I do not mind changing her diapers, but can't stand bananas. Georgia I truly love you, always remember that I cut up your bananas for you.

11 months

Wow, it has taken me a long time to get this post up. I have a had a hard time getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. I am behind on so many things and am trying to get ready for Georgia's bday. I have a lot to get done before the party. I am making most of Georgia's decorations so I still have work to do.
11 months, wow. Since I am writing this so late we only have 2 weeks until she turns 1. I was thinking back to this time last year, we were trying to get her to come out. Robert and I wanted today to be her birthday, so it would be 1/11/11, but she had other plans.
She is so much fun right now, with a little bit of attitude. She loves to play with so many things. She got new toys for Christmas, and I would have to say her favorite toy is her toy dog and the cups from her picnic basket.
She loves to talk and babble. She has started to say dada. She now calls everything dada. I notice a difference in the way she says it to Robert, but he doesn't. She says hi and waves. It is so cute to see her in the high chair and she starts waving and says "hi" in her cute little girl voice. She is also signing all done.
We do not know how much she weighs, but we did just have to move up to size 3 diapers. She has averaged a size diaper for 6 months. I am hoping we will not have to move to size 4 before I can completely potty train her.
She still only has 2 teeth showing, but has been teething for a while and we can see 3 top teeth about to come in. I am ready for teething to be over. It is not fun for either of us. She wakes up all night long and I have a harder time falling back asleep than she does.
Her motor skills have gotten so much better. It is amazing to see what all she can get into and reach now. She is not wanting to walk and will not be doing it by her birthday, but that is ok. She will eventually get it.
Her favorite food is yogurt, cheerios, and most breads. We have started giving her breast milk from a sippy cup. She does fine with it, but she just doesn't drink a lot. She does not like real fruit, the texture bothers her.
Trying to get these pictures was so hard. She moves all over the place. She can reach so many more things and has no fear. We love Georgia Grace sooooo much and enjoy every day with her. She makes me smile, laugh, and truly enjoy life like never before.

She loves bath time. Notice all the toys in tub. She barely fits.

1st Christmas

This year we got to spend Christmas with My family. We got up there on Friday afternoon and both my brothers were already in town. We had a great dinner and then my oldest brother and I had plans with our friends. We went over to my friend Sarah's house who has a 3 year old son. Last year when we were all over there they were listening to my stomach with a stethoscope to try to hear Georgia. Sarah was scaring me with her birth story. It was very different this year. Luca and Georgia had so much fun playing together. Luca wanted to help put Georgia to bed and was sad to hear she wouldn't be there when he got up.
My friend Natalie got Georgia a gift, her first present
a cute Christmas book, we did not have one. Thanks Nat
Luca had a drinkable  yogurt and Georgia wanted it
He would share with her. It was the cutest thing. They kept going back and forth. We put Georgia to sleep in Sarah's room and we got to stay late. It was so much fun seeing my friends again. I unfortunately did not get any pictures of the adults. Weird how your focus changes when you have kids.
Christmas eve in front of the tree. Georgia is wearing the dress my mom made for me when I was a baby. I wish I knew how to smock

My Grandmother has made all of our stockings. I love these stockings. It means so much to me that she was able to make one for Georgia and Miller. I need to learn how to do this to carry on the tradition.
After we put the big kids to sleep the babies were still up. Georgia was playing in this box for a very long time and never tried to get out. It was so cute.
Georgia's first interaction with what Santa brought her
The Vraciu's and there Santa toys. Emma is wearing the dress up clothes we gave her from the night before. We always open one present on Christmas eve and both of the big kids opened our presents. Emma had so much fun in the dress up clothes. I can't wait until Georgia gets to that stage.
All the toys santa brought Georgia. He knows kids. He brought her Puffs, and bath toys. He seems to always throw that stinkin orange in the stocking.
All the kids in their matching PJs
Our family on Georgia's first Christmas
This Year we decided to make a cake in honor of Jesus' birthday. We sang "Happy Birthday" to him and the kids blew out candles. I love this. I plan on doing this every year for our kids.
 This girl loves boxes

WARNING!!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!

You are about to see child pornography, or just two naked babies in a tub. We were discussing how having pictures like this on your phone or computer can get you in trouble now. It think it is stupid that I brother can't have a picture of his niece and nephew in the bathtub. Owell, it is my baby and I will post it if I want to. The only thing cuter than one naked baby is two. Dont worry you can't see anything.
Miller and Georgia are playing with her new bath toys that Santa and Mommy and Daddy gave her. They had so much fun together.

We had such a great trip getting to see my family and friends. Georgia had a great first Christmas.
