1 month

I can't believe my baby is already a month old. It does not seem like we have been home from the hospital that long, but at the same time it feels like she has always been a part of my life. Robert and I love being parents and couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby. She is so sweet right now and loves to be held. She is sleeping in her cradle at night as long as I heat it up first. She will sleep for a 5 hour stretch, before I wake her up to feed her ( we just started this 2 nights ago). We only do that once since she is still under weight. Georgia is now 6 lbs and 13.5 ounces, a full pound heavier than when we brought her home from the hospital. She is feeding much better now, but still has plenty of room for improvement. I have been able to stop pumping so much :) Right now Georgia loves being held, cuddling, looking at the lights, and looking at our pictures on the wall behind the couch and rocking chair. She does not like being put down for long periods of time (2 minutes so mom can potty), having her diaper or clothes changed (its too cold), or getting out of the bath. She makes the cutest noises, some of them sound like monkey sounds. I love to listen to her and see her little face. She also sleeps with her hands on her face, which I do too. I do not like to see her face before she is about to cry. She will start to do a silent cry first and I will try to change the position I am holding her to see if I can stop it before it turns into a cry.
We are calling her Georgia and Georgia Grace, I can't just pick one. Her main nickname is little bit, but I also call her peanut, missy, and princess. I do not like Gigi, which is going to be hard to stop people from calling her.
She is really such a good baby and we are so Happy. Georgia we love you!!!

When I was 2 years old I got a doll for Christmas which I named Tiny baby. Tiny baby was just about my size. I wanted to take a picture with Georgia and Tiny baby.

Tiny baby is on the left, Georgia is on the right. Just in case you couldn't tell

Georgia not Alabama

You can barely tell but at the top right of Georgia's outfit it says "adorable". Most of her clothes say words like "cutie pie, precious, beautiful, etc." Robert and I usually call Georgia what her outfit says. The other day she had on an Alabama outfit. Robert said, "I am not going to call you Alabama, that would just confuse you Georgia". I was laughing so hard.

Last night she was holding onto my thumb and I thought it was so cute. Her hand is so little compared to my thumb.

Blakeley and I went to visit one of our friends from church that just had a baby. Katie in the middle had Liam on Monday night weighing 9 lbs and 9ounces. He is a full 3 lbs heavier than Georgia and a month younger. Blakeley and Jasper are on the right.

Blakeley and her family came to bring us dinner the other night. We took some pictures of the kids. We did not get a picture of Hunter holding Georgia because he was having to watch Jude. This is Jasper and Georgia. We joke that they are going to get married. My mom and one of her best friends, Margaret, said this about Mark and me, luckily for Robert it didn't come true:) Jude, my Godson, holding Georgia
How sweet!!!!

Blakeley and Georgia. We asked Blakeley and Hunter to be Georgia's Godparents when we baptize her. My mom is going to make a gown out of her grammies wedding gown.

Party Animal

Saturday night we all went out to celebrate Valentine's Day with our Sunday school class. We started this dinner last year and we didn't want to miss it this year, so we took little miss Georgia. Everyone dressed up, including Georgia(she was the prettiest), and we played a few games and enjoyed every one's company. It was so much fun and Georgia was a perfect angel.

What a cute family
Blakeley and Georgia

I love this pacifier, it has a toy attached and looks so cute.

Trying to show her cute dress. It is way too big, along with her tights and shoes.

wiped out!!!
On Friday we went in for a weight check and Georgia had gained 7 ounces!!! The doctor told me I could go back to every three hour feedings and not stress myself out. We will go back again this Friday to see how she does eating every three hours.

Happy Valentine's Day

So this is Georgia's first holiday. How perfect for it to be pink and all about love. She had a good day today, she slept, ate, and pooped. How perfect. She should also be happy because mommy got lots of candy today and she will get it later.
Georgia had her two week check up last Friday. She is now 6 lbs 2 ounces, 20 inches long. She is 50% for height, 25% for her head, and less than 10% for weight. We are working really hard to get her weight up. We are feeding her at least every 3 hours, but lots of times sooner. I don't get much sleep, but as long as she gains weight it is all worth it.
Georgia makes the cutest faces, but they happen so spontaneously that I can't catch them on video. I will try.

She has been more alert and awake lately, but not so much in this picture

A Valentine for my special valentines- Jasper and Luca. You 2 can fight over Georgia later.

Week 2

So it has been two weeks, wow. I think I am getting the hang of all of this. Last night as Robert and I were laying in bed, I was amazed that just two weeks ago we were in the hospital waiting for our precious little girl. I still get very emotional just thinking about how much I love her and how lucky I am to have her. As we cuddle on the couch, I just stare at her. She makes the cutest faces. I want to catch them on video, but I never can in time. She also is so cute when she stretches. It might sound weird but I even love her little cries, they are soooo cute. We don't have her two week appointment today, but I do know that she finally got up to her birth weight. Let's hope she doesn't drop anymore.
The other night we let our dog out ( a big doberman) in the family room to hangout with us. She finally noticed Georgia on my chest and was curious, but scared. She would come up and smell her and then run back to Robert to hide. She did this multiple times. It is funny to see a big doberman be scared of a little baby. I know she will warm up to her and soon love her.
Georgia is finally doing better sleeping in her cradle. Most of the time she still needs to fall asleep on mommy, but then will stay asleep the rest of the time in the cradle. She has learned to roll on her side. I will put her down on her back and she will roll over so she is sleeping on her side. I know she is not supposed to do this, but I can't stay up all night and watch her. I am amazed that she can do this already. Hopefully she will do gymnastics!!!

I wanted this pictures to show how strong Georgia is by already holding her head up.
Robert wanted this picture to show the cat staring at Georgia.
She has both of her legs on one side of her outfit

both legs in one pant leg

So sad, she does not like bath time yet. She will!!!

Robert and I love to build fires. We were so excited for Georgia's first fire.

Mommy and baby cuddling

I'm naked because the fire is keeping me warm

Here are some videos of Georgia stretching or just being cute and awake.

Do NOT swaddle me!!!

Georgia's thoughts...So mommy keeps trying to put me in a contraption that she calls swaddling. It makes my arms go straight down by my side and my legs straight too. Who would want to sleep that way? I tell her that I don't like it (by tell her I scream), but she still wants to try it. She says that I am supposed to like it. I like having my arms free. I hope she learns soon.

I'll cry if I want to!

Heard of the old phrase "don't cry over spilled milk"? Well who ever says that has never uncomfortably pumped for 20 minutes just to have their milk spill all over the counter. It is definitely worth crying over. That is precious food for my baby, and I worked hard to get it out.
I have been pumping a lot and bottle feeding Georgia Grace to help get her weight up. I went and weighed her today and she was officially back up to birth weight. I am still going to use a lot of bottles for now so she doesn't lose anymore weight. I have an apt. on Monday with a lactation nurse to help me. Pray for us. I am determined this is going to work.

Pictures!!!

Yesterday we went and got newborn pictures taken of Georgia Grace. She was so great and slept most of the time. During the whole session she was naked without a diaper. She only peed once and it was on Robert, haha.

1 week old

So Georgia Grace is 1 week old today. I can't believe it, this week has flown by so fast. I guess when you don't sleep all the days blur together as one. Georgia has gotten over the hump for jaundice, yay!!! She is doing a little better with the breast feeding, but is still not a good eater. My mom made a joke and said " I never wished this on you". They say you should be feeding for about 15 minutes, our feedings last 1 and 1/2 hours, sometimes 2 and she still doesn't eat the amount she is supposed to be eating. During the day it is not as bad, but it makes it rough during the night. My mom has been here for the past 5 days and has been a BIG help. She will get up in the night with me to help out and has been making wonderful meals for us. I told Robert not to get used to it, life will go back to frozen meals.
Georgia Grace's favorite thing to do is sleep, and poop. Her least favorite thing to do is eat. She loves to cuddle up on my chest for nap time. She will crawl up me and burrow her head in my neck. It is funny because she used to put her head in my rib cage and I joked that she was trying to come out my mouth. She likes to be up near my head.
I get overwhelmed with emotion at times just looking at her.You can't understand how you can love something sooo much so fast. It puts a new perspective on God's love for us. I unconditionally love this little girl with my whole heart and would do anything for her. As she sits here in my lap, I can't help but think how lucky I am to have her.
I have some more pictures and hope to get a cute video soon.

She is wearing the cute gown mom bought her
I wanted to do a picture for every month to see how she is growing.
This is her newborn one.
We are not sure if we will have the cradle the whole time so I am
doing a picture on the lamb too.

My sweet little girl

This lamb is not that big, she is just tiny.

She is wrapped in her bunny towel after a bath.

She likes to hold her hands over her mouth.

Tired mommy and baby.
