Weddings and Birthdays

On 9/10/11 our friends Trung and Grace tied the knot. I always love weddings where you know a lot of people. These were two of our friends in Huntsville, so we had lots of friends that were there. The wedding and reception were a lot of fun, a little too much fun for some of the guys. Open bar is never a good thing for our group of friends.
Georgia did great at the wedding and reception. We actually got her to fall asleep for a little bit during the reception, but it didn't last long with a loud DJ and people yelling as they took shots. As the night went on she become clingier and clingier. She wouldn't even allow me to leave her with Robert so I could go potty. She would throw a fit. As long as she was in my arms she was happy. She had fun dancing with mom. I think we kept her out too late, but it was too much fun to leave. Hopefully she will let us get a babysitter next time.

Last weekend was my Grandmothers 88th birthday, sorry Mimi, I mean 78th Birthday :). My mom and dad were out of the country but my Aunt and Uncle flew in from Dallas. Georgia and I went up and spent the day with them. It was fun for Georgia to get to meet her Great Aunt and Uncle. She liked Uncle Jim, but who doesn't he is fun. We had a good lunch at her building and went out to eat for dinner. Even though I made cupcakes for dessert, we all decided to split a piece of chocolate cake since it is Mimi's favorite. We didn't know, but when they brought it out it was perfect chocolate cake. This is a special cake that my family has made for years. It was a great day. Happy Birthday Mimi.

Labor Day

I am very behind on my blogs. We have been very busy this month and will hopefully slow down, but it doesn't look like we will anytime soon. Labor day weekend we went to the lake with my parents and Grandmother, Mimi. Mimi just moved from Phoenix to Nashville which was hard leaving all of her friends. Mom really wanted her to come down to the lake and have a nice weekend with good weather and great views. It couldn't have been better. The water was perfect for skiing in the morning and I would get up early and take a long run. Robert slalomed for the 1st time in 10 years and did great. My dad did his once a year ski run. He claims he is going to ski once a year until he is 80. We have lots of fun hanging out and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery.

On Sunday we came back to Huntsville, because my best friend from high school, Lindsay, was coming down to see us. Lindsay is even more busy than I am and I was so honored that she wanted to take her day off to come down and see us. She had fun playing with Georgia, but Zoey didn't like it. Lindsay is not an animal person and did not love on Zoey or really want her touching her. Zoey didn't like this very much and was very hesitant towards Lindsay. Zoey tried to protect Georgia by barking at Linds.

First Tooth

Another first!!! This morning I saw Georgia Grace's first tooth. I had felt it last week and saw that it would be coming soon, but didn't think it would have spouted that fast. The funny thing is that we didn't even know she was teething. We lucked out with that one, hopefully the others come in that easy too.
