God is Great!!!

So back in November, right before Thanksgiving, we were told that Georgia was breech (her butt was down and her head was up by my ribs). You cannot deliver this way, and I was very upset. There were lots of prayers and I went to a chiropractor to give Georgia every opportunity to flip. On Monday night she moved a lot, and I think turned then. We had an extra ultrasound yesterday, which showed that she was head down and ready to go!!! We are sooo happy. Now we can just let nature take its course and wait for Georgia to come and meet us rather than having to schedule a C-section.
At the appointment, the doctor said I am not dilated yet at all. She said that doesn't mean too much, because a lot of women do not dilate early and just go into labor one day. I do not feel that she is ready to come yet, but we are still soooo excited.
During the ultrasound we got to see Georgia's face and her eyes were open. It was soooo neat to see her little face and get a better clue at what she is going to look like. I started crying. She was sooo beautiful. It is getting more and more exciting. I can't wait for her to come.

Shower

I had two wonderful showers at the beginning on December, one in Huntsville and one in Brentwood. I have been waiting to post on them because I was waiting on pictures, but I have other news so I will go ahead and post and hopefully go back and add pictures. I am so lucky to have such good friends and my parent’s friends to throw us these showers.
At the shower in Huntsville, they had Pink candy for decorations (I was in heaven) and everyone made me a scrapbook page to make things easier for when Georgia is here. The shower in Brentwood was mostly my mom's friends with a few of my High School friends there. Everything there was so pretty too. We got to play games, which I love, and one of my best friend's mom (Mollie's mom) won the game about guessing what I wanted Georgia to be like. She must know me well, she beat my mom, haha.
We got lots of wonderful gifts and are finally getting her nursery ready. Pictures to come soon.
Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful gifts, support, and hard work for the showers.

Christmas Time

December is finally here and Christmas is just around the corner. Our social calendar in December is always packed and it all started this weekend. Friday night our Sunday School class cooked dinner for a group home of mentally handicap adults that we work with throughout the year. Everyone brought all their kids and it was so much fun. Two of our friends have young babies, and I spent most of the time holding them. Even though I am about to have one of my own, I still can't get enough baby time.
Saturday night we had Robert's work party. It was fun getting all dressed up and hanging our with our friends. Here are a few pictures from the Christmas party.

Robert and me by the Christmas Tree

Robert won one of the door prizes. He went running and cheering (like on the Price is Right) to go get the $35 gift card. The DJ said he wished that he could have given Robert the grand prize because of his enthusiasm.
This is a Huntsville friend who is due 4 days ahead of me, would you have guessed?

Thanksgiving

So this year for Thanksgiving we went to my parents house. Brian was not able to make it because he was traveling in Asia, but it was extra special because my grandma was able to come. I did not get any family pictures, because my camera was still missing, but my sister-in-law is preganant too and we should have gotten a pregnant picture together...I hate I missed that. I was able to see a lot of my friends from high school and spend a lot of time with my neice and nephew. I brought up some of my old dolls from when I was younger and Emma LOVED them. She is calling all dolls "Honey" and called one of my dolls "Big Honey". She would try to carry this doll around and it was the same size as her.
Friday night we went to Sarah's house and everyone wanted to feel Georgia move and listen to her. Sarah told horror stories of her pregnancy and delivery. Hopefully, I was able to put a positive spin on pregnancy for my friends because I think most of them want to adopt now.
Sarah is trying to listen to my stomach.

Jenna got her stethescope and my friends took turns trying to listen to Georgia. It was so funny.

MSU-Alabama Game

So every year Robert and I try to go to a Mississippi State football game, and ever since I went to Alabama for grad school, we try to go to the UA vs MSU game. It makes a fun rivalry. This year we were able to get tickets at Alabama, which made for a new experience for our friends. Every year our tailgate gets bigger and bigger. This year we had two full size tents and tables and a tv. The weather turned out perfect during the day, and not too cold during the night.

Robert and me at the tailgate.
I am finally looking pregnant.

At the game!!!

Our seats are always at the very top of the stadium. This year presented new struggles trying to walk up to the top. I was huffing and puffing and sweating by the time we reached the top.

Halloween

Ok, I know it is a month after Halloween, I have been getting grief from everyone about not posting recently. In my defense, I was working overtime my last few weeks and then we lost the camera. I finally found it and now have more time to post!!!
Here are a few pictures of our Halloween costumes. We went as Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. Robert stuffed his costume, I didn't have to.

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and soon a tater tot

My friend Heather dressed as me for Halloween.
It was so funny when she got out of the car.
She even looks more pregnant than I did.
Zoey is wearing a baby costume of one of our friends.

Cuddle Time

So the other night we let Zoey in to watch TV with us. We usually do not let her in the TV room because she is too hyper and wants to play with everything. She was very calm and wanted to cuddle. Excuse the way I look, I just got out of the shower.

Zoey is hugging Georgia. Hopefully she will be this sweet and gentle with her when she is born.

Zoey is loving on my belly. I love it!!!

First Shower

So we had our first shower the other weekend. It was with some of our friends in Hunstville, most of them Robert works with. My parents were able to come down, but unfortunately Robert's family wasn't able to come. Hopefully they will get to see me before I burst, hehe. Here is a picture of the wonderful girls who hosted the shower.

Kristi, me, Beth

The game the girls planned was to have the boys have a beer drinking contest out of baby bottles. It was pretty entertaining. Shane finished first, took a walk, filled the bottle up again, and beat the boys again. It was very funny.

This is one of the many wonderful gifts we got. I can't wait to start putting Georgia on the Potty. Thank you to all of our friends for the wonderful shower and gifts. It means a lot to us and is a big help. It is amazing how expensive babies are. I always heard people say that, but I don't think you can understand until you experience it.

Chattanooga

So Robert got a free voucher for a hotel, and we decided to go to Chattanooga to spend a short weekend. It was sooo much fun, one last get away before Georgia comes. We went to Rock City, the aquarium, and exploring the city. The weather was perfect. Here are a few pictures from Rock city.

This isn't even the "Fat man squeeze". I was able to make it through no problem.

So when we got to 100 days left before Georgia's due date, we decided to make a count down so we can see how close we are getting. Can you tell we are first time parents and really excited?!?!

At the bottom there is this magnet

We found this magnet at Rock City and couldn't pass it up. It was too perfect.

Birthday Update

So I am a week late, sorry, work has kept me busy and tired.  I am coming to an end of the second trimester. Things have still been going well. We recently had to travel by air, no problems there. I feared having a little trouble on the plane, but things were good. I have gained a little extra weight this last check up, but it has been a sad time for our family. We recently lost F. Richard Imboden aka PA. He was an amazing man and will be greatly missed.

So update on baby: slowly moving forward with getting the nursery ready. Robert painted it Pink... was there really another option?!?! We finally ordered the crib, but don't have it yet. We have lots of clothes. I will take pictures of the room when we get more together.

She has been kicking soooo much. You can see her move or see my stomach move. It is still the coolest thing. I have not been sleeping, which is wearing on me. Not much else has changed. Here are some pictures from my birthday. I know I dont look much bigger, I actually started to show more this week. I think I am at that point where I am going to POP.

Baby Bump

Ok, so people have been asking for some pictures so I am finally posting some. I know that I don't look that big, so I wanted to post one from my view. I feel so big when I look down, but then when I look in a mirror, I am still not showing that much. I will try to post more soon so you can watch as she gets bigger.

20 weeks

This view is me looking down at my stomach. It looks so much bigger to me than the other pictures.

New things that have been happening: peeing a lot, not sleeping much, feeling her move, and peeing a lot. Yes, I have been feeling her move for a couple of weeks. Now that I am sure of what I am feeling, I have been feeling her move for a while now, but just have known what it was for 2 weeks. If you have never been pregnant, it is the coolest feeling ever. I keep imagining her (what she looks like and what she is doing) as she moves around. She gets very active as I am laying down to go to bed.  I imagine that she is getting restless leg, just like her mom. Robert still can't feel her, but hopefully soon.
We haven't done anything to the house yet, so I am sure that is why I keep having nightmares that she is born now, and we have nothing. Hopefully we can take some time and get the nursery ready. We finally picked two different beddings that we like and they will come in the next week or two so we can decide which one we want.

It's a GIRL!!!!!

So I am following the trend of so many people. I think it will be easier for me to do this than to keep up with everything and everyone on Facebook. So Robert and I went for our 19/20 week appt today and got to see our healthy baby. When the ultrasound tech asked if we wanted to find out the sex, I said yes with a big grin. I told her stories of my friends who have been told that it was a girl and then found out a few weeks before or the day of that it was a boy. It was important to me that she be sure about the sex or let us know if she was not able to get a clear shot. Luckily, baby cooperated with us and had her legs spread apart for us. That is the only time I want that young lady, you can put them back together now. We are so excited. Robert is worried about me turning our whole house Pink. I told him I will try my best, but we all know I am obsessed with the color pink.
So we were very lucky to get to have DVD of the whole Ultrasound session, but I don't know how to post still pictures. I have tried to take some still pictures from it, but it still posted as a movie. There are only a few, but I hope you enjoy.

The first shot is of her heart, you can see all four chambers.
The next few are of her profile.
The last one is her her legs and girlie parts.
