Colorado

It has been way too long since I have posted. We have been really busy and trying to keep up with our posts has not made it to the top of my list. Unfortunately I then forget and miss posts that I would want to document and remember for later. For now, I will just recall what I can.
Back in late February my mom, Georgia, and I flew out to Colorado to watch my brother's 3 kids so he could go on a vacation with his wife. Robert came out and met us toward the end of the week. It was so much fun getting to see my nephews and niece. I love them. To be completely honest, I have never been so tired in my life. Emma, my niece wakes up multiple times during the night. Miller, the other baby also woke up one night screaming for a couple hours because he had an ear infection. Then we spent the whole day running around with 4 kids. I normally have a lot of energy, but man they wore me out. On the second day we were there Ryan and Emma were supposed to go to school. We got everyone ready and still had over an hour before we had to leave. We thought we were going to be rushed for school, but on the contrary we were wishing we could leave early. I don't know how Sharon does it.  The kids had so much fun playing together and getting special time with their Aunt Gooey(that's me) and Gigi.
Since Georgia was not walking on her own at that time, she was wanting to walk with a walking toy ALL the time. Since she was still learning how to walk she put too much weight on the stroller and then it would fall over on her. The way to keep that from happening was to put something heavy in it. Miller worked perfect. He got to go from a long walk up and down the hallway. If you can't see Georgia has a huge smile on her face

Cousins having fun together. Emma liked playing with Georgia more than Miller...poor Miller. Good thing he has a great big brother.
Last year for Ryan and Emma's birthdays I sent them this jumpoleen. It never got blown up and I was determined to get it blown up for them. I did it while they were at school. They had so much fun playing on it. It produced a lot of static electricity. we invented a shock game. They would try to see who could shock me the biggest.
                                                                     Look at that hair
                                                         Gigi with the two babies
Since all three of the younger kids still nap, Ryan got some special time with each of us. I downloaded a few games for Ryan and we would sit and play them together.
                                                        Reading stories before bed time
One morning we took them to an indoor jump place. We left miller at home with my mom. The other three kids had so much fun. They even had a lot of stuff for Georgia. The place was called Monkey Business. I think this picture of Emma says it perfectly
They has a special area for Georgia to crawl over everything. She had so much fun. She is posing.
Do you think she is having fun?
With all the fun things to play on, crawl over and through, Georgia still found and wanted to play with the shoes.
They had a special time with music. Ryan is the blur in the picture. That is a good way to describe how he was here. He met a few other little boys and ran around with them most of the time.
My mom stayed and extra day so we could leave Georgia and go up skiing. It was perfect, no one was there. It was a Monday morning and had just snowed a little. We never had to wait for the chair lift and the slopes were great. It was a good warm up for Breckenridge.
The next day all three of us drove up to Breckenridge. It snowed 11 inches on the day we got up there. We walked around the town and enjoyed the snow. It was so pretty. The town was really cute. The following day we put Georgia in daycare and went skiing. We had fresh powder. We went down some ungroomed runs. Bad move for me. The picture does not do it justice. The natural moguls were huge and when you tried to slow down, your skis went in the snow because it was so soft. I stuck to the groomed runs. It wasn't too cold, but the wind was awful. A couple of times the lifts stopped because the wind was so strong at the top that people couldn't see getting off the lift. I actually saw a tornado of snow. When it wasn't blowing, it felt nice. When the wind was blowing on you, it was brutal.
After we were done we went to pick Georgia up. When I told them her name, they said which one? There were 2 Georgia's a month apart. I thought that was funny. It was nice to relax in the hot tubs after a long day of skiing. Sitting in an outdoor hot tub while it snows is the most magical thing.

It snowed so much while we were there. The snowbanks were almost as tall as me.
We are still big kids. We wanted to make snow angels.

Parties

Georgia was invited to 2 parties the other weekend. Unfortunately they were at the same time. We decided to make it to both and just do half the time. The first one was for Brennan, the son of a girl I work with. He was turning one. There are three of us that have babies and bring them to our staff meetings and the babies play together. The party was at The Little Gym. I was wondering what we were going to do for a group of one year olds, but it was so much fun. They had lots of activities for us to do with the babies. We stayed for the cake because I wanted to see him smash it, but he wouldn't either. He wanted to be clean like Georgia did.

Georgia loved the tunnel. We have one at home, but never pull it out. It is actually how we got her to crawl.
 Birthday boy
 Bubbles!!!! Georgia loves bubbles
 We played peekaboo

The second party was for Addison, the daughter of Robert's friend from college. She turned 3 and had a princess party. We missed most of the party, but we stayed for a long time after hanging out with the birthday girl and family. The cake was sooo cute, it was a doll cake.
cake, I was late on the picture
Georgia had fun playing with Addison's new princess kitchen

Dancing Queen

Watch out Gaga, move over Bieber, here comes Georgia Grace.  She’s got the look and all the moves, she is sure to steal center stage. Our little dancing queen is quite a sight. She loves to dance and watch music videos allllll the time.  Robert and I love watching stop and start dancing whenever she hears music.  Enjoy the cute videos.

Nutritionist

We had been waiting to hear from the nutritionist and I finally was able to schedule an appointment. We went and saw her today. She said that Georgia is eating a good amount, but she wants me to beef it up. Basically she wants me to add sugar, butter, and cheese to everything she eats. I don't think I will end up adding that much sugar, but will continue to do the butter and cheese. She gained 7 ounces since her 12 months check up which is great!! hopefully she will continue to gain for our weight check up in 2 weeks.
I will add more posts about our trip to Colorado in a few days. Really busy with Robert being out of town and getting ready to leave for the weekend again.

Valentine's Day

On Valentine's day we went to a play group at my friend Rachel's house. She has twin 3 year old boys and a little girl 5 months younger than Georgia. The kids had fun playing and having cute snacks that Rachel cut out with a heart.

This was minus 3 kids another set of twins and another baby.

A few days before Valentine's Day we went to another play group to make valentines for the daddies with finger paint. My friend Kristi made paint out of pudding so it would be edible if the kids tried to eat it. Good thing she did because Georgia sat down and ate the whole bowl of blue paint. I didn't know that she could use a spoon and feed herself, but she sure showed me that she knew how. She would not leave and devoured the whole bowl. None of the other kids wanted anything to do with the paint.

Look mom, I did it!!!

As you might guess I will not be letting her feed herself any time soon. I had to take her straight up stairs and give her a bath at Kristi's house.

Don't forget to scroll down and see the other new posts, I just added a few.

Update

Sorry it has taken so long for an update but we have been really busy. Georgia weighed 16 lbs at he 1 year checkup. She is doing better weight wise but the doctor is still concerned. We haven't heard from the nutritionist yet, and my doctor is pretty mad. We now have the number to try to call them. Georgia's height and head circumference are doing just fine. She is eating lots of new foods: hot dogs, lunch meat, spaghetti, and will try almost anything we are eating. So basically she eats more types of food than I do. She still does not like most fruits or any veggies. We are still trying.

Here is a video of her playing with her riding toy. She loves to walk behind it, but loves to be pushed more.

Georgia's 1st birthday Party

We celebrated Georgia's birthday the weekend before her birthday. Robert's mom, my parent's and my Grandma came in town to help celebrate. We had a few close friends come over to help celebrate too. We did a rainbow theme. I debated for a long time trying to figure out what theme I wanted to do. I originally wanted to do a Care Bear theme because I thought it was my first birthday theme. I then switched to just pink, and then to cheerios. I finally settled on rainbow. When my mom came down the day before the party, she told me she came across a picture from my first birthday and it was a rainbow party too.  How funny. Everything turned out just perfect and Georgia had so much fun with her family and friends. She got lots of great toys and has enjoyed playing with them over and over again. Finally, what you really want to see... PICTURES!!

Georgia's special highchair. She loved the balloons.
The food table. I tried to make everything that I could be rainbow.
Rainbow candy, rainbow cake, cupcakes with rainbows on top, rainbow fruit kabobs, all different colored chips, rainbow goldfish, and rainbow shaped PB&J sandwiched for the kids.

 Georgia's outfit
 We match!!!
I would say Georgia was playing with her friends, but at this point the kids were hungry and really wanted to eat so they are all sharing a snack.
Birthday girl in her special chair
 Playing with mimi
The kids were having fun playing in the wrapping paper. Note to self, don't buy gifts, just wrap boxes and they will play with the boxes and paper.
 Family picture with the cake.

Georgia waiting for her cake.
She did not smash the cake. She daintily touched the icing and licked it off
This is the messiest she got
This is a picture from my first birthday. Can you believe my mom let me stand in my high chair. Its so funny that our cakes look so similar and I didn't even know
